Love

The vest & rolled up sleeves look on Mr. Pegaja, aka mr. oh my deer. The willows are lovely, too. And this video their friend made on a super 8. Good golly. Can Pip and I just pop ourselves into this wedding?

Rustic Red

Another lovely inspiration board from Elizabeth Anne Designs. I like having the candles in jars. Maybe candles in jars, flowers in cans? I dunno. Too many details!

new decor idea?

Via Design*Sponge, again.... a designer/bride-to-be Chase Simmering (great name!) is using antique cheese boxes filled, it looks like, with dried lavender and herbs. Very nice, very rustic.

Aparently Ms. Simmering got the boxes off e-bay for around 2 bucks but I just did a quick search and there are lots of them out there but the shipping would be very expensive. I will run the idea past my planner next week and then maybe scour local junk shoppes for them and the clear mason jars.

so what was I saying

... about getting so many ideas from Elizabeth Anne Designs? I saw these pics just now in my handy dandy feed reader:

Love the red gingham tablecloths, love the daisies, love the apples, love the lunch boxes. From Amorology Weddings, via EAD.

I'm going to White this Saturday to try on some dresses, and then again in a couple of weeks with my wedding planning buddy and former co-bridesmaid Diane, and should be in touch with invite, planner, and caterer (fingers crossed) soon, so there will be more posting on my own planning rather than just what I see in my feeds.

This re-found objects store...

is very very cool. I like the organization of it. Very clever. And they have such neat stuff!

Another thing Pip would vote crazy

I don't know why, but I find these charming and they'd certainly fit in with our nautical-esque theme. But that would be crazy, right?

Via a cup of Jo, who's also nautical obsessed lately.

silly sailor

I saw the above image at Elizabeth Anne designs - awesome. Pip and I have been thinking about how to take advantage of the fun nautical potential of our island wedding without giving the (extremely false) impression that we are at all interested in sailing ourselves. I think the sailor hat party prop is completely appropriate and necessary, though. And a corn-cob pipe. Hehe.

Pip is always saying

That we'll have to be careful to not have too many "crazy" elements in our wedding. I totally know what he means. Yesterday it was the boats, and then today I see this post on the Bride's Guide about making your own windmills... I love all these cute things!!!

...but I will stick to the little plastic boats for now.

Definitely not short of inspiration.

Snippet & Ink is doing a special set of posts on frolic! this week. Lots more good ideas. Like the cute stickers.

But then again...

I quite like this colour scheme and vibe too:
