Len and Pip take a 180

So a week ago our initial choice for the venue, the Ward's Island Association Clubhouse, told us that they'd be raising their prices for next year by 80%. Hmm. Kinda took the fun out of it. A few tears, a few beers, and some frantic googling later.... we're all booked in at a fantastic new venue:
We've signed stuff, we've paid the deposit, we're happy, we're incredulous, we're GETTING MARRIED!!!! I can't tell you what a relief it is to just have this booked, and how happy it makes me to know that we have a place and a caterer let alone how freaking cool the place is.

We've booked the ballroom, which means we've got the cafe and the concert-ey space at the back. There's exposed brick, heritage, a raucous sound system, gorgeous restored wood floors, hep-cats around every corner. Have I mentioned how happy I am? The bones are so gorgeous that we don't need to do much by way of decorating. Some candles, some casual floral arrangements, but nothing ostentatious is necessary. Huzzah! We think we're getting married here

The Ward's Island Association Clubhouse. So, so cute. Pip and I went to visit on Sunday and we both really like it. We were worried about the size - it might be a little small - but the next two pictures assuaged my fears. We can either put up a tent for the overflow or just squeeze a bunch of people in reallllllly tightly. No problem.
