HUN-E-MOON!

So we're banging along now, booking stuff, planning stuff, waiting for stuff, talking about stuff... feelin' good.

Last weekend Pip and I sat down and thought of all the places we wanted to go, discussed merits and drawbacks, checked prices of things, and then booked flights to Stockholm!

We found travel.yahoo.com to be really useful as it checks all sorts of sites (including other aggregators) and the prices it cites include all those crazy taxes. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying taxes, but certain airport taxes are just crazy.  For example, a flight to the UK was in the ballpark of $200 plus $400 tax?!?! That's not reasonable at all.

We're looking to have a good balance of Stockholm city excitement and somewhere else in Sweden country relaxation.  Do some hiking, eat some good food, sleep in, chill, experience some culture, try out a new language... a nice laid back holiday.  So I'm thinking, a good gift for someone to give us would be this very classic rucksack from L.L. Bean.

Not that it's about the presents, just I know people want to get us things, and this is something I would like and that would be useful :)

for your maids to clutch.

The new Vogue sewing patterns are out for this fall. How great would it be to make clutches for your bridesmaids? Neato! I love the leopard one with the half bow... not in that print... but it's of the right vibe methinks.

gift idea

These are super cute and go with the earth/people friendly strategy I hope to take. This and the last post are via the Bride's Guide.
