We've signed stuff, we've paid the deposit, we're happy, we're incredulous, we're GETTING MARRIED!!!! I can't tell you what a relief it is to just have this booked, and how happy it makes me to know that we have a place and a caterer let alone how freaking cool the place is.We've booked the ballroom, which means we've got the cafe and the concert-ey space at the back. There's exposed brick, heritage, a raucous sound system, gorgeous restored wood floors, hep-cats around every corner. Have I mentioned how happy I am? The bones are so gorgeous that we don't need to do much by way of decorating. Some candles, some casual floral arrangements, but nothing ostentatious is necessary. Huzzah! We met on the WIAC tour, back when it was affordable and worth the lack of kitchen facilities. So, um, how's it going? We were shocked by that HUGE price spike too...just heard about it today so we're still in the tears and beers stage, feelin' like commiserating. The Gladstone looks amazing and beautiful and, if you don't mind, I think we'll mosey on over there ourselves. Yay for awesome second choices! Hope the rest of your planning goes smooth and sweet.
