Ah, shoes

I was poking around online and found the above printable invitation from Crane's. We've already got invite plans, but this inspired me nonethetheless:
Clockwise from top left, sandals from Moschino, Paul Smith, and Belle by Sigerson Morrison.

if we were having a punk wedding

this Pucci dress would be totally rad:
but we're not.

If I had fab legs and a bigger budget I would get this Temperley dress:

but I don't... yet. Watching the sales.....

desserts

I think the giant lollipops would fall under pip's idea of crazy, an although they look awesome, who really likes them? If I had a choice between cupcake and lollipop I would choose cupcake... unless I was on a diet, I guess. Macarons are nummy, but expensive.

Something to watch...

Bell'ancora has dresses that were worn once or not at all... a good place to check from time to time. They should have an RSS feed, really.

This Reem Acra gown was regularly 6 grand for 2.5. Not bad, if you're into gowns.

All together now...

awwwwwwww... From Brides, via Ritzy Bee.

Another nice inspiration board

I love the old seed packets and the combo of the bright reds and greens with a creamy colour. Nice vintage vibe. Also, notice the blue mason jars. What the heck? They are everywhere.

setting the table

I just found out about these bambu veneerware forks, knives, sporks, plates etc. They're meant to be disposable but they're nice and more enviro friendly, supposedly. Hmm...

Pip is always saying

That we'll have to be careful to not have too many "crazy" elements in our wedding. I totally know what he means. Yesterday it was the boats, and then today I see this post on the Bride's Guide about making your own windmills... I love all these cute things!!!

...but I will stick to the little plastic boats for now.

Definitely not short of inspiration.

for night time

more mason jars!!!! From Ulrica and Craig's wedding, featured on The Bride's Cafe

i am officially obsessed with the blue mason jars

I saved this post from Snippet & Amp; Ink a few days ago and was just reviewing things. Blue mason jars! They're everywhere!

More colour/vibe links

This post from the Bride's guide shows another example of the colours I'm diggin'. For the paint chips, make the red a bit more red, and replace the bright yellow with a moss green and there you go.

We think we're getting married here

The Ward's Island Association Clubhouse. So, so cute. Pip and I went to visit on Sunday and we both really like it. We were worried about the size - it might be a little small - but the next two pictures assuaged my fears. We can either put up a tent for the overflow or just squeeze a bunch of people in reallllllly tightly. No problem.

cute-o

I just nabbed 24 of these cute little boats to put on top of cupcakes or whatever kind of dessert we're gonna have. From abelemporium - they have so many awesome do-dads for cakes and things.

Chippy's Fish and Chips

Just confirmed with John from Chippy's (Toronto's premier rock and roll chip shop) that they can cater on the island and accomodate 70-90 people.

So rad.

I think both of these things will be relatively cheap. I've got ferns in my garden, and I'll hit up my relatives for all those old cobwebby mason jars dwelling in basements. Sweet.

gift idea

These are super cute and go with the earth/people friendly strategy I hope to take. This and the last post are via the Bride's Guide.

Favours/decorations

Love, love, love these "homegrown" tomato pincushions from Martha. If we want to do them we should start NOW.

so cheery, and so right for late June. Via Snippet & Ink, again.

But then again...

I quite like this colour scheme and vibe too:
